Katie Schaeffer, Site Director at Cottonwood EDCC. Ms. Schaeffer has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Human Development from California State University East Bay. Ms. Schaeffer has over eleven years of experience working in varying positions at EDCC. She began her journey as an Assistant Teacher and then later became qualified as a Teacher at Green Elementary. She was promoted to the Lead Teacher at Amador Elementary, and then transitioned from a Lead Teacher to the Director in Training role at Dougherty Elementary. Ms. Schaeffer lives by the words of Jane Goodall. “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
