EDCC at Shamrock Hills – Enrolling for Summer 2026
Extended Day Child Care (EDCC) is excited to open at Shamrock Hills this summer! EDCC will serve TK-5th-grade students only.
Program Overview
- Grades: TK–5th
- Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Care Offered: Before school, after school, and full-day summer camp
- Program Schedule: Year-round, including summer
TK Eligibility:
TK students must be 4 years old by the first day of summer camp (June 8, 2026) and fully potty-trained, per licensing requirements.
Summer & School-Year Enrollment
- Summer Program Start Date: June 8, 2026
- To secure a spot for the school year, students must enroll in the summer program.
- Families unable to start on June 8th may choose to pay a $500 monthly hold fee to reserve their spot. Children may not attend during the hold period.
Enrollment & Availability
Enrollment at Shamrock Hills is limited and based on available space. Placement is determined by:
- Current EDCC enrollment at other sites, for families transferring to Shamrock Hills.
- Any families interested in enrolling their 1st-5th graders at Shamrock Hills can apply during the online registration period, which begins March 2nd. These students will be entered into a lottery, based on available space. Students not selected will be placed on the EDCC waitlist.
If demand exceeds availability, students will be offered enrollment as openings become available from the EDCC waitlist. Students must remain enrolled at their DUSD school to stay active on the waitlist.
Additional Information
- Students must be registered at Shamrock Hills for the upcoming school year to be considered.
- Priority may be given to siblings of currently enrolled EDCC students and DUSD permanent employees, when applicable.
